We welcomed 2 new scouts to their first meeting last night and had lots of fun with Potato Races and Kickball. Additionally, we worked on our Bobcat Badge.

Bobcat Badge

Below are the requirements for the boys to learn their first badge: Bobcat! All of these can be done at home. I would like to have everyone ready to be presented their badge on August 17th!

  • Learn and say the Scout Oath, with help if needed.
  • Learn and say the Scout Law, with help if needed.
  • Show the Cub Scout sign. Tell what it means.
  • Show the Cub Scout handshake. Tell what it means.
  • Say the Cub Scout motto. Tell what it means.
  • Show the Cub Scout salute. Tell what it means.
  • With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide

  • August 10: Den Meeting

    We will finish  work on our Bobcat badge.

  • August 17: Pack Meeting

    This is an extremely important meeting. Please wear your Class A (regular) uniform if you have it. We will be awarding Bobcat badges!

    This is also our popcorn kick-off meeting. We do only one fundraiser for the kids each year and we do it right. All of our boys have the opportunity to win some really cool prizes that I guarantee they will love. Come ready for some fun and excitement at this meeting!

  • August 24: Committee Meeting

    This is our monthly business meeting in which parents discuss and plan for upcoming pack events. All parents are encouraged to attend this event.

  • October 9 – 11: Fall Campout

    Put it on your calendar, our Fall Campout is coming soon! I will be putting together a checklist of must-have and recommended items for your first family campout with Pack 931.

    There will be lots of hiking, exploring, cooking, campfires and family fun. This is one of the marquee events of scouting – you do NOT want to miss this!

Class B Uniforms

As you saw last night, I was wearing what we refer to as a “Class B” uniform. This is the uniform we wear for less formal or active events so that we do not stain or damage our “Class A” uniforms. They also make it easy for us to identify our pack members when we are out camping.

Although not required, we highly recommend purchasing a Class B uniform. We sell these at cost to both scouts and parents for $10 each. If you would like a shirt, please click the button below to let me know the size and quantity of each. We have both youth and adult sizes.

You can pay for your shirt once we receive them from printing.
